Volkswagen Beetle - Classic.
UP FOR SALE IS MY GORGEOUS ORIGINAL 1970 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE.
The car has the original rims on it now, and the Fuch rims do not come with the car.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL NON RESTORED UNMOLESTED CLASSIC TIMEPIECE.
I HAVE ALL RECORDS FROM THE DAY IT WAS BOUGHT IN RENTON WASHINGTON IN 1970. THIS INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER AND SALES MATERIAL THAT CAME WITH THE CAR.
THE ORIGINAL OWNER KEPT A NOTE BOOK RECORD OF EVERY TIME SHE PUT IN GAS, HOW MUCH SHE PUT IN, THE COST AND THE MILEAGE FROM 1970 UNTIL 1994 UP TO 68000 MILES.
SHE ALSO PUT IN EVERY TIME IT HAD ANY MAINTENANCE, OIL CHANGES ECT, WITH ALL OF THE ORIGINAL RECEIPTS KEPT IN A FILE WITH IT.
THE CAR IS HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND IS CHINCHILLA BEIGE COLOR WITH A BROWN TOTALLY ORIGINAL INTERIOR.
THE SECOND OWNER DROVE THE CAR ANOTHER 38K MILES UNTIL THE ORIGINAL ENGINE FAILED. HE SPENT THE NEXT TWELVE YEARS COLLECTING 1970 ORIGINAL GERMAN PARTS AND BUILDING AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE ENGINE. THE NEW ENGINE BLOCK WAS MANUFACTURED THE SAME WEEK AS THE CAR!
THE ONLY PART ON THE ENGINE THAT IS NOT FROM ORIGINAL STOCK IS THE GENERATOR.
EVERY PART OF THE ENGINE IS BASICALLY BRAND NEW ALONG WITH FLYWHEEL CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE AND THROUGHOUT BEARING. THE NEW MOTOR HAS ABOUT 200 MILES ON IT AND IS STILL IN THE BREAK IN TIME. I WILL DO A FRESH OIL CHANGE AND ADJUST THE VALVES BEFORE YOU BUY IT.
ALL OF THE BODY PANELS ARE STRAIGHT AND ORIGINAL, EXCEPT THE RIGHT REAR FENDER, IT WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW FENDER IN 1973, AS DOCUMENTED IN THE LOG BOOK.
I HAVE JUST PUT IN A NEW FRONT WINDSHIELD.
THE CAR DOSE HAVE THE UPGRADED BRAKE KIT WITH FRONT DISC AND REAR DRUM CURRENTLY INSTALLED, IT STOPS EXTREMELY WELL.
THE CAR IS PICTURED WITH A BEAUTIFUL SET OF FIVE 1973 PORSCHE 914 FUCHS RIMS. BUT I JUST PUT ON THE ORIGINAL SET OF MOON CAP RIMS THAT ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
IT IS PICTURED WITH A PORSCHE STEERING WHEEL, I HAVE JUST PUT BACK ON AN ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL.
THE INTERIOR IS A 9/10 WITH ONLY A FEW SMALL RIPS IN THE SEATS, NOT NOTICEABLE, AND HEADLINER, NOT NOTICEABLE EITHER.
THE PAINT HAS BEEN HAND POLISHED AND CERAMIC COATED AND LOOKS PRETTY GOOD FROM FIVE FEET. THERE ARE SOME STONE CHIPS ON THE FRONT END AND ON THE REAR APRON. THERE IS SOME RUST ON THE NON ORIGINAL RIGHT REAR FENDER.
THERE IS NO CANCER RUST THAT GOES THROUGH THE BODY ANYWHERE. THE BEETLE WAS GARAGED ITS WHOLE LIFE AND IT SHOWS. AND THE SALES RECEIPT SHOWS SHE PAID FOR THE UNDERCOATING FROM THE DEALER. THERE IS HOWEVER SOME LIGHT SURFACE RUST IN A FEW SPOTS, BUT NOTHING TO BAD.
OVERALL THE CAR IS A BLAST TO DRIVE, IT IS AN ATTENTION GET-ER FOR SURE! PERFECT FOR TAKING TO CLASSIC CAR MEETS AND SUMMER CRUISES.
THE CAR IS NOT A SHOW CAR, BUT IT IS AN AMAZING ORIGINAL EXAMPLE OF A FIFTY YEAR OLD CAR THAT HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF.
I HAD THE CAR CHECKED OUT AT BUTTERA MOTORS IN KIRKLAND. THEY CHECKED OVER THE CAR AND SAID EVERYTHING IS IN GREAT RUNNING ORDER. IT WAS THEIR OPINION THAT THE CAR IS WORTH OVER 20K DOLLARS! THEY SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE NICEST THEY HAVE SEEN IN SEVERAL YEARS.
THERE ARE SEVERAL CUSTOM PARTS THAT I AM WILLING TO NEGOTIATE FOR AS WELL.
I AM SURE THAT I AM FORGETTING SOME THINGS, BUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL AND WE CAN GO OVER EVERYTHING AND TAKE IT FOR A DRIVE!
