Car description

1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon FULL CAMPER in exceptional condition. We're moving overseas and unfortunately can't take it with us. We never thought we would have to sell this van, or we would not have put all the efforts to make it look like new as it currently is, our loss your gain.I'm the third owner and this bus has spent all of its life on the West coast of the U.S.A. One could tell this bus was not used much as a camper, everything looked almost new and still does. Fabric is spotless, in extraordinary good shape for its age.Everything works. Every light, switch, door, button, sink, etc.. work. Yes, even the fridge went through a complete makeover, starts in seconds and gets to 25-30F in no time. A/C system went through a complete makeover in 2016 but since we have not recharged it as we don't use it here in NorCal so this is something that new owner will need to do if A/C is needed. We never had any issue with our van, never broke down on us, it runs and drives amazingly well.Engine has 97,500 miles on a rebuilt 2.1L vw gasoline engine. Bus has 325,000 total miles. It just passed smog.Transmission was upgraded two years ago (4 speed manual transmission) with a GoWesty 4-speed manual transmission that now has 9,000 miles, under warranty up to 48,000 miles or 48 months which is February 2021 and transferable (need to give Gowesty name of new owner).Suspension system was entirely upgraded with high end shocks, bus now handles amazingly well in tight turns and windy roads even at high speeds. We recently did a pre-sale inspection done to make sure all was perfect before selling it, the only flaw was a leaking steering rack with was fixed with a new one as well as a new power steering pump. The bus looks like it just came out of the VW dealership, it grabs a lot of attention!Paint job took two months and cost $14,500. All seals are new, bus exterior was completely stripped it down to bare metal, painted in the best shop in the bay area that specializes in Vanagons.Everything was painted or upgraded (grilles, side markers, headlights and back lights, emblems etc..).Tent was custom made in the US, it has three windows and the optional removable screens that can easily be replaced if broken. Fabric is Sunbrella, thick and is a big improvement over original tent, as it keeps heat much better and is highly UV resistant. The LED headlights are another very cool feature of the bus. Lots of accessories are included such as:- Gowesty cargo bag that fits in the overhead roof compartment with bedding (included with the sale is a brand new 2" organic cotton memory foam mattress topper for the upper bed)- Yakima bike rack (4 bikes) mounted on hitch is also included. - 8ft Titanium awning from Fiamma that was professionally installed. - All windows have working curtains in excellent condition. Optional wrap around curtain for the front is included.- Optional bug screen for the trunk is included.- Optional toddler's cot for the front seats is included (not mounted yet). A pet can also use this cot as a sleeping area.- LED strip covering the whole interior of the van with remote and 16 colors to choose from, hooked to the 12V system included.- 1,200W of sound with six speakers and a custom made subwoofer that fits behind the driver's seat. All sound system was professionally installed.- For boondocking the bus is equipped with a 100W solar system (lightweight, fold-able panel) on a secondary Duracell 12V 46AH AGM SLA Deep Cycle Battery and a GoWesty 10 amp solar controller. Main battery is a Duracell Ultra BCI Group 41. Both batteries were replaced in Jan 2019.Bus is super clean, no smell, no smoking no pets, interior in rare condition and exterior better than new. It drives, shifts and handles like a champ.Never been in an accident. No damages ever reported. Bus is rust free, lived most of its life in SoCal and Norcal.Clean title on hand.
