Car description |

This 1992 VW Transporter Double Cab (Doka) is very rare in North America. Research indicates that only 22 were imported and all of those went to Canada. No Double Cabs of any other year in the VW T4 model run (1990-2003) were imported. Drivetrain and some body parts are readily available in North America as it was imported under the name Eurovan as a camper and passenger vehicle. The title is listed as a 1992 Volkswagen Transporter. This truck has the all-important EPA compliance sticker under the hood meaning that it can legally be exported from Canada to the USA. It is also now 25 years old and exempt from any DOT/EPA requirements, although these 22 imports met both Canada and US DOT requirements. From my research, this is only 1 of a couple that has been imported into the USA. Clean Washington title in hand. Clean CarFax included as well as original plastic Owners Card, owners manual and factory service manual
This Doka was sold new in Burnaby, BC, Canada and spent it's entire life in the Vancouver area. Previous owner told me this is the only one of the 22 that had power windows and power locks. The odometer was changed from KM to miles when imported to Washington and currently has just over 187k miles. Previous owner stated that the engine had been replaced by the VW dealer several years ago in Vancouver and estimated the current mileage around 25K. 5 years ago it had $2150 spent on front end parts, wheel bearings, axle etc.. (receipt included). It has it's share of dings and scratches and small amounts of rust around the front wheel lips and lower doors. Fenders, wheel lips and doors are common to Eurovans so front doors and forward parts are readily available. The only area of rust that doesn't have readily available parts is the rear doors which have small amounts of repairable rust. Windshield is cracked but all other glass is nice. The truck starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops just fine. It doesn't smoke or seem to have any drivetrain concerns. It's reliable transportation as is, but would be an excellent candidate for restoration as these are quite rare. The right front door lock actuator is weak so I'm including a new replacement as well as a box of OE Bosch tune-up parts (plugs, cap, oil & air filters etc..). There are some exhaust rattles and minor things but easy stuff.
Riding on a high-end set of Audi R8 Speedline 18" wheels with like new tires. Michelin (front) Dunlop (rear) 18"x10.5" rear, 18"x9" up front. These wheels cost $1800 each new from Audi + rubber. The fitment is fantastic. I'm including the original wheels and hubcaps with like new all-terrain tires installed.
Completely original except for the following: AM/FM CD player, speakers in the rear doors, air bags in the rear, diamond plate bed liner over original wood decking and wheels.
