The Volkswagen Type 4 is a compact car manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen of Germany from 1968 to 1974 in two-door and four-door sedan as well as two-door station wagon body styles. The Type 4 evolved through two generations, the 411 (1968–72) and 412 series (1972–74). The miles on this car are original. I pulled out the original Bosch fuel injection system out and replaced it with dual EMPI carbs built by Kaddy Shack in LA. I still have all the FI components. New ignition barrel with 2 keys not keyed to the doors. This car is not perfect of course. I don't think the paint is original. Mechanically, I recently discovered that the #3 cylinder has low compression which was a common problem with this car. The oil cooler prevented the head from getting the proper cooling. That being said, the engine still runs and the car still drives. Automatic trans is good. There are just a couple of electrics issues that I am lousy at sorting. (Horn, headlights and right turn signal.) Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
