Car description |

This Volkswagen Pop Top Camper Bus was manufactured March 1978 and is for Sale with no reserve. This model is the most advanced bay window camper bus. The '76-'79 VW Westfalia Buses have features including a full bed up top to compliment the full bed that doubles as a rear seat, and the desirable swivel front seat.
My goal was to restore this but I need to sell it to focus on other projects. This is how I got the Bus and I don't have additional parts for it. The body panels are straight and this has not been in an accident as this looks to still be in original paint. There is no engine or transmission but I do have a lead on a set if interested for additional cost. Hub caps not included.
I did turn down $1000 for just the roof as the pop top made for a full bed (verses a child cot like earlier models) is desirable and is often sought after upgrade by "tin top" and earlier model camper owners. But I didn't want to cut the Bus up in case someone wanted to restore it.
High retail value for this model restored is many tens of thousands so there is money to be made by restoring and selling. I think this was a champagne edition. It does roll. Sold as is where is and must be picked. I have some leads on shipping companies that could help if needed. Thanks for looking and for bidding!! This is an exciting project! Feel free to call with any questions. 612-805-2428. John.
