Great car and great longterm previous ownership. Original sales slip and original literature, all records since new. Always in California, found under a giant redwood tree on the outskirts of town. Belonged to the high school principal and was outfitted for excursions into Baja. Has been 1/2 way down the coast. Has a Chevy Corvair radio, power cutoffs, CB radio antennae and was purpose built for camping and long road explorations. Outstanding floor boards and great running engine. Very well mannered, holds a charge and starts every time. Has been dormant for 15 years and fired right back up. I have owned 100 vw's and the engine is really great on this one. All mechanic work done on time by professionals, according to the manufacturer. Original windshield and VW top. I have the side curtains and they are very tight and keep out the elements. Windows are cloudy on the side curtains. The headlights and taillights all work and there is a charming beeper alarm the sounds while reversing. The speedo and tach are not functioning. Windshield wipers work, new tires and rust free body. Does not have the acapulco top curtain or cage, if you did put that on it would be a whole different look. For the germans to put out a car like this was very unusual, this car is made for fun. I don't think you could choose a more stylish and adventurous vehicle than this. Harris, Ps. I will drive this to the shipper for you. First reasonable offer gets it.
