This 1957 Oval VW was fully restored - body off chassis - 12 years ago at The Wizards in Miami, Florida.
Since it’s restoration, the car has been garage kept, and sparingly driven.
This is an original matching numbers car with 86,605 miles driven.
The car was originally black with brick red interior.

After restoration it has been referred to as an Oval in ‘Zwitter’ skin because of the Azure Blue exterior color and interior theme that was correct for a 1953 split window Zwitter Type 1.
This Oval restoration was a tribute to the split window Zwitter.

Body and chassis were sand blasted, acid dipped, and primed with epoxy.
All nuts and bolts were cadmium plated - most nuts and bolts on car are original.
Full mechanical restoration of engine, transaxle, etc.
Most engine mechanical and electrical parts are original.

Original engine case, heads and transaxle.
Full brake system restoration. Upgraded to dual circuit master cylinder.
Brand new wiring harness - 6V.
Single stage paint and interior theme based on 1951-1953 Type 1 theme - Azure Blue / German Cloth and Carpet interior by West Coast Classic. Seats are gray with blue stripes.
Chrome of original metal done at Advanced Plating in Tennessee. Chrome bumpers were stolen so those on the car are unfortunately not original.
Original restored Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio.
Original recline-able VW seats.
Firestone Whitewalls - Coker.
Original steering wheel in good shape but not restored.
Authentic side pop out windows.
Albert side mirrors.
Waso shift lock.
All receipts from restoration at The Wizards will be available to the new owner.

All numbers match: number plate, numbers stamped under seat, and on the registration paperwork.
Floor pans are absolutely clean and rust free.
