Look no more as we have it here at MotoeXotica Classic Cars in this 1975 Volkswagen Westfalia! This clean Westy comes from a local owner who cared for this VW for the past decade and used it sparingly for what it was really designed for... to go camping with is family!Finished in Pastel White (code L90D) with black trim, the Westie's paint and trim are in overall very good order. There's a rear defroster on the back window, the white bumpers with black trim fit tightly to the body. This van's bodywork is straight and solid, its engine bay is quite tidy and the cargo area looks good. A full-sized spare tire is mounted on this VW's nose.Optional equipment on this Westie includes a refrigerator, not the standard cold box; a pop-up camper roof with three-windows (code 073); vent wings in the cab doors (code 507); detached headrests in the cab (code 227) and Westfalia interior type (code P22).This Bay camper rolls on Doral SDL70 radials, size 195/70R14 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted to a steel wheel topped by vented chrome wheel covers. In the engine compartment is a 1.8L air-cooled flat four-cylinder engine, borrowed from the Type 4 Volkswagen and breathing through a BugPack muffler. Backing this engine is a four-speed manual transmission.Inside, this Loaf has the correct style Westfalia blue-green plaid cloth seating and sleeping surfaces that are in great shape with black flooring mats. There are blue side curtains in the rear. The headliner is in good, original order, as is the two-spoke steering wheel and floor-mounted gearshift lever. The instrument panel and inner door liners are in good, original shape, and rounding out the interior is a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player and at least two speakers.Volkswagen Westfalia Camper was a conversion of Volkswagen Type 2 and then Volkswagen Type 2 (T3) sold from the early 1950s to 2003. Volkswagen subcontracted the modifications to the company Westfalia-Werke in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Standard Westfalia equipment items included: • Various foldout seat arrangements for sleeping • Birch plywood interior panels • Laminated plywood cabinetry for storage • Ice box or cold box • Sink (some models) • Water storage and pump • Electrical hookups • Curtains • Screened jalousie (Venetian blind) windows • Laminated folding tableOptional equipment items included: • Attached "pop up" tops with canvas/screen sides • Awnings and side tents • A portable chemical toilet • A camping stove • Various camping equipment • Child sleeping cot in driver cab • Storage box which matches interior panels. • Rear swing table • Small map table mounted on dash • Automatic Transmission (beginning in the 1970s) • Air conditioning (dealer installed) (from 1954)Competition to this Breadloaf in 1975 included Chevrolet's G10 Van, Dodge's B-series Van, Ford's Econoline 150 Van and GMC's G10 Van.If you have always wanted a VW Westfalia, you owe it yourself to stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to check this example out.
