Car description |

You are looking at a 1968 VW Westfalia camper bus. The bus still has the 1600cc single Port motor and 4 speed transmission. The motor runs good. It is very smooth with no hesitation and the transmission shifts good. It is very quiet and has almost no oil leaks! This bus just recently got a major cosmetic overhaul. We repaired the front floor with Wolfsburg West floor boards and all the dents taken out. The bus was completely painted with urethane paint. The bumpers were dismantled and restored and repainted with the correct off white paint, the wheels were powder coated and new tires on the front and about new on the rear, 14 inch with stock hubcaps. Replaced the front windshield and new rubber molding, new rubber on the back door and engine cover, new front seat pedestal rubber.
As you can see, it has the Westfalia camper kit with the stock yellow upholstery in good condition. It also has the front walk through seats, and the original jack under the seat. The original bus heater has been unhooked and an rv style Coleman heater installed in the bus. Do not know if it works, haven't tried. It has the original birchwood headlining in good condition and the small pop-up that you could stand up in, the pop up still works and the canvas and screens are intact but will need to be replaced in the future. A new rear aftermarket luggage rack that is brand new. The camper windows still open and have good screens. The bus has new park lamp lenses and rubber gaskets and new tail light gaskets. All the lights work but may need a new turn signal flasher unit. I am still working on that. A couple of small rust places underneath but very small. It is also missing the center heater tube. All the glass is good and the windows all work like they should. All in all this bus looks good and drives good. You could take it to a bus show, it shows nice. Plus, camp out next to the river with that extra smile on your face, you know what I mean. Peace!
