I recently had an appraisal done and here are comments from the appraiser:
MECHANICAL: The new 1600 engine starts easily, idles smoothly, and has plenty of power. The 4-speed transmission is in very good working order, and shifts smoothly into gears. The steering is tight and the car tracks straight down the road. The new disc brakes are excellent, and pulled the car to a straight stop. The overall mechanical condition of this car is very good.
EXTERIOR: The body is in good to very good condition with no rust, but there are a few small dents around the car. There is one on the passenger side front fender, and a small one on the front right corner of the top. The body panels appear to be all original, and the fit and gaps are very good. The car had been repainted some time ago. There is "orange peel" in the surface, as well as some large chips on the fenders and door edges, as well as scratches on the engine cover and rear fender. The paint on the rear quarter panel and lower door has cracks, and the hinges have chips. The chrome wheels look very nice. All the exterior stainless/chrome trim pieces and bumpers are in good condition, but the door handles have small pits and the bumper is missing the black trim. The windshield has a few small chips, while all the side glass is original and in very good condition.
