Car description |
---|
I purchased the bus in 2012 and have used it as my daily ride since. The bus has not been driven out of the Tucson area since I have owned it. My work and travel needs have changed recently and I am about to purchase a truck to meet those needs. I hope to find a buyer that will enjoy this vintage 1979 VW bus as much as I have the past few years!
At the time of its purchase, the engine had recently been rebuilt and clutch assembly replaced. Since that time, it has continued to run very smoothly. The bus has received regular oil/fluid changes, check-ups and maintenance repairs since that time, primarily at Chirco where they are Volkswagen specialists. New parts installed at Chirco, include: air flow meter connector, starter, ignition switch, CV boots, clutch cable, and oil drain plug. In addition, I have installed new vinyl covers for the front driver and passenger seats.
Mechanically, the bus is solid. Aesthetically, the bus will benefit from a light sanding and paint job on the outside and the installation of new front kick panels, side-door panels, and a new cover for the back-bench seat on the inside.
Please reach out to me if you have questions!
