Car description |
---|
This is a nice Volkswagen Super Beetle at a real decent price with no reserve. It's not a $25k fully restored Bug, so please don't think that's what it is. This is a no-reserve auction and have confidence that it will sell much higher than the starting listing price. I have 100% feedback and try to be as honest as I can, as if I were the buyer looking at a car.
I will try to describe it to the best of my abilities as honest as I can be. It is a 45+ year old car. It's antique/vintage car and not brand new, nor fully restored so please don't expect either one. Pictures ALWAYS look better than in person.
Now, with that that said, If you are looking for a good, classic Volkswagen Beetle to drive around and get lots of looks-- here it is. Looks great 10' away. There are a few light scratches and paint chips here and there throughout and the car has had some paint touch ups on the roof, the front hood and the fender. There are some dents/dings on the driver side rear fender and throughout the car. (See additional photos in link below) You are welcome to come look at the car prior to bidding. The car is also for sale locally and I have the right to take the ad down if it should sell locally before auction ending. I have posted over 50 more photos in the link below, along with a video of the engine running. In the past 3 years the Beetle has had: -Newly Rebuilt 1600cc Engine -New Tires (less than 5k miles) -New Front Seat Upholstery-New Carpet-New Front and Rear Brake Shoes-New Headliner Just recently (Past 6 months) -New Spark Plugs & Spark Plug Wires, Fuel Filter -New Battery -Valves Adjusted & Oil change
Floors have been patched with fiberglass on the passenger side seam by the tunnel. The rockers and heat exchangers are in excellent shape. The brakes are good, but could probably use bleeding, the shoes were replaced not too long ago.Transmission shifts smoothly. No issues. The running boards have some rust. The bumper holes have been filled.Engine runs strong, was told has less than 10k on rebuild. There is some light damage around the tail light on the passenger side. It's currently not a daily driver, but wouldn't take much if anything to make it one. It's a vintage 40 year old car. It has its positives things and minor things, needling a little TLC like most cars it's age.Odometer reads 32,128 Clear South Carolina Title
*A $350 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction, via paypal. Remainder due by cash (preferred), bank check, or a bank wire within SEVEN days of the end of the listing. If car is to be shipped, I will help the buyer with shipping, but buyer is responsible for all arrangement of shipping. Please do not bid unless you are a SERIOUS bidder.
