1962 VW Beetle - Excellent unrestored former California car

A car that spent its life in California until 2013, when it found its way to Iowa. The sale will include all the records that came to me with the car, including original bill of sale from Neufeld and Freeborn of San Carlos, California. Garage-kept and driven often during the summer since I purchased it. I would never part with it but I will be moving out of state and I won't have a place to store it properly.

It is in very good unrestored condition and meticulously maintained by me. Brand new tires along with new front end bushings and alignment. A perfect candidate for a full restore with minimal effort or just drive it and

enjoy it like I do. Original paint. 1200cc engine that burns no oil. The engine is tight and there's no freeplay in the crankshaft. The chrome has some surface pitting and there are a few shopping-cart-type dings here and there. There was a dime-size rust hole at the bottom-front of each door frame (pictured), which I promptly neutralized and clear-sealed when I purchased it - they are still there and haven't grown and I've found no reason to paint or cover them since this is an honest driver car for me. The underside pan/frame is impeccable, as you can see in the pictures. The heater channels are in great shape and the heater will cook you out of the car! The interior was probably replaced in the 90's or early 2000's and is in great shape. Numerous new rubber seals throughout while in my ownership and care.

This was a summer driver for me, so I maintained the engine and running gear better than my mundane daily driver. You won't be disappointed!

Comes with an assortment of new and original parts, including new chrome trim kit.
