Car description |
---|
1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet Carat. A super fun to drive little car. This limited edition model features a FWD 5-speed manual transmission, leather seats, a driver's side airbag, power brakes, power windows (in the front seats only) and an AM/FM cassette stereo system.
The car has had only two other owner besides myself, and comes with all of its service records. Most recent repairs consist of the clutch being replaced in 2014 and the battery being replaced in 2017.
I haven't started the car in about a year. Other than for this slight matter, I have had no other prior issues with the car. This car is now considered a classic, so it does requires a bit more maintenance than a newer vehicle, however it typically runs great.
Two of the tires are low on air and may need to be replaced. However, it also could just be that they simply need to be filled up after sitting for so long. The other tires are fairly new. The upholstery on the driver's seat, as well as the floor of the car is in need of some TLC (it's been in its current state since before I bought it), but that's purely cosmetic. The car could also use a new convertible top as the original is pretty faded, although it still functions just fine.
This is a second car for me, and I no longer have the free time to give it the love and attention it deserves, otherwise I would not be selling.
Please refer to the photos above and feel free to ask any questions.
