Car description |

Listing my 1987 Wolfsburg Edition with professionally converted 2.2L Subaru Engine and kitchen unit. It is a manual transmission. The vehicle has been well maintained, stored every winter and has an underbody coat to protect from rust. Runs and sounds excellent, inspected, registered, etc.. I drive this regularly, was my daily driver all last fall. I wouldn't sell it except the girlfriend and I are building a larger van this summer. The vehicle has no accident history (have carfax from last year), has gotten regular maintenance and has many aftermarket parts listed below:
Mechanical/Suspension/Drivetrain Upgrades:
Subaru 2.2 OBD1. (Estimated 90k on engine)
Clutch at time of engine swap
Kennedy Engineered conversion kit
6" Magnaflow Muffler and Universal Magnaflow CAT (Jet-hot coated)
After-Market Coolant Temp and Volt Meter installed on dash
Rocky Mountain Westy stainless coolant tank
Koni Front Shocks (new less than 1k miles ago, professionally placed)
Metro 15" steel rims
Yokohama Geolandar tires (lots of tread left, two have about 5k on them)
Radiator replaced, coolant system updated
GW 1.5" Lift Springs (guaranteed for life)
Brakes replaced summer 2017 all around
Stainless brake lines
Fuel lines and fuel pump replaced with engine conversion
New transaxle seals (done fall 2018, less than 1k miles)
Exterior Upgrades:
Gowesty front and rear bumpers
Front bumper has hi-lift jack receiver
GW Swing Away and ladder, currently has a thule bike rack (not for sale) attached to it but also have a spare tire carrier that will come with it
Rotopax gas can
Luggage rack refinish kit
Arb awning with gutter adapters
Heavy duty truck mirrors
South african headlights
GW headlight relay upgrade kit
GW antenna
Gw Grey synthetic canvas pop top tent
Solar and Electric Upgrades:
100w Renogy Solar Panels x2
100aH Deep Cycle Battery
Gowesty interior light and 12v marine fan
750w Power Inverter (puresine)
Blue Sea Marine fuse block
New battery (separate for vehicle vs solar)
Interior Upgrades:
ARB Interior Panels all around
Speedometer replacement with small car adapter
Aftermarket Stereo (Sony)
Aftermarket Speakers all around (Pioneer)
Sewfine carpet kit
Wooden (vinyl) flooring
GW curtains all windows
GW mosquito screen for rear door
Poptop Seal Replacement
GW Skylight
Custom Kitchen Unit with portable stove
T49 Truck Fridge (runs off solar)
Gowesty shifter extension
Spare Parts:
Fuel Tank Reseal Kit
Gas tank (new) (left this in Maine, but I can get it to you)
Future Maintenance:
Seam rust (hard to find an east coast westy without this unfortunately, underside of the van is excellent, all rust is purely cosmetic, some bubbling, see pictures)
Scrape along rear right of van from pulling out of a gas station and scraping along a post (this has caused the majority of the rust)
Headboard replaced with wood panel
I am a Maine resident and the van is registered there but it is currently in and I will be showing it in New York, NY. They do not give titles in Maine for vehicles over 25 years, so the registration serves as the title (just google it). Serious inquiries only, no trades considered. I believe this is an extremely fair price; if this takes longer than a month or so to sell I will begin working on the project list above and will increase the price as appropriate. Please text me or email me for questions, call for motivated buyers.
