Car description |

1975 VW Transporter T2 Panel Van. Was imported from Holland in 2016 as shown with Porsche tribute livery with less than 20,000 original miles as shown.
Fun fact. A type 4 engine was not standard in European delivery models. This one is fitted with the standard 1600cc industrial type 1 engine.
A stack of manuals as well as driver logs going back 20 years are included with the vehicle. Unfortunately, some of the paperwork was lost and did not come with the vehicle, but you'll be amazed at everything we do have and how original the van is. Be sure to check out all the detailed photos linked to below to genuinely appreciate how rare and spectacular this VW really is.
We believe this was likely a German fire van that was superbly maintained and preserved, as most German fire vehicles are specimens like this. We do not have the cherry (light) that would have gone on top, but the factory VW siren knob is still present. The prior owner in Holland had the livery put on as a tribute to the original ones used by Porsche for race support. They also added a very tastefully done partition to reduce noise in the front cab (and it works really, really well).
We have used this van for various Porsche events and have driven it less than 1000 miles since we took delivery. It is fully serviced with valve adjustment, all fluids changed, grease points lubricated, and fuel stabilizer put in the tank last year when it was driven last. No other work or modifications have been carried out under our stewardship.
This van drives like new and needs nothing.
Photos were taken before the vehicle was put in storage and has been driven a few hundred miles since.

Please do make sure to check out the additional photos we have provided, including detailed underside photos showing how clean and original this Volkswagen is. You'll be hard to find one this nice that isn't restored. There are blemishes, dents, dings, scratches, and imperfections - just as we received the van. As you can see in the photos, some panels have been touched up by the previous owner, so no attempt has been made to try to hide them.
Vehicle currently resides in the LN Engineering showroom in Momence, IL, about one hour south of Chicago. Interested buyers are welcome to schedule a visit and drive.
We can assist with shipping to anywhere Worldwide.
