1974 Bradley GT Mk1 -RESTORED - NO RESERVE!1600cc Dual Port, Dual Carb
The Bradley GT is an American icon. In southern California in the 1960's two fiberglass experts and VW enthusiasts, decided to develop a sports car that evoked Italian styling, German engineering and American craftsmanship. Fiberglass cars and dune buggys were just taking off and picking up speed all over the country, but thriving in the automobile atmosphere in Southern California. Bradley GT was a fresh take on the sports car formula. The design focused on lightness and a low center of gravity. A completed Mk1 weighs a mere 1,600 lbs! That matched with a very torquey VW, dual port engine gives sporty performance. Some Bradleys were built professionally by specialized companies, some by customers. Luckily for the modern car enthusiast, most of the components share parts with other automobile manufactures and with large growing enthusiasm behind the Bradley brand means there is no shortage of parts for these vehicles.
This 1974 Bradley is a nice, unique, cool and fun example. It was professionally built and embodies the California exotic car culture. It recently underwent restoration and is in very good condition! The paint shines and looks great at any car show. The doors are easily removable, as is the rear window, seen here in the rain tight sealed condition. While the fresh interior looks and feels good and the VDO gages, along with the racing seats and racing wheel remind you that you are in a sports car. The engine was rebuilt and runs great! A VW 1600cc, dual port, dual carb. engine, with Empi short shifter and Empi exhaust gives plenty of power to motor this car to any speed you desire. While Corvette ZR1 wheels and ties gives this car so much grip it feels like a go cart. Karmann Ghia disc brakes provides incredible stopping power.
Overall, this is a fine example of the Bradley GT legacy. There is no warranty expressed or implied, with mileage exempt due to age. This is such a fun car, I hope someone enjoys it as much as I have. The sale is NO RESERVE, so best of luck!
