Car description |

1969 Volkswagen Beetle!
Car runs excellent, starts right up, no smoke - 39,000 original miles. All original body panels, glass, headliner, wheels, seatbelts etc - no evidence of accidents or any modifications. Lights, horn, blinkers, flashers, wipers etc. all work. Currently running, driving and registered. In getting the car back on the road, I noticed it still had original brake hoses, and many other original parts.
Bluetooth stereo hidden away, factory radio restored and in dash, small amplifier and 4 new speakers in custom kick panels under rear seat (easily removed for stock appearance), and in back decklid.
New: Electronic ignition (no points to change!), spark plugs, plug wires, battery, tires, front shocks, small bumpers, fuel lines, brakes (pads, springs, rubber lines, a few hard lines replaced), seat upholstery, carpets, floor mats, under hood mats, running boards, wiper motor (rebuilt), wipers, gas tank metal coated with POR 15, new front sway bar bushings, chassis greased
Original carb rebuilt professionally by Tim of volkzworks
Floor was repaired under battery tray, then multiple coats of POR 15 before rubber and foil floor coating, then foam and foil insulation.
As the pictures show the car has some "patina" Original diamond blue paint, then red/brown primer, then current blue - my guess it was sprayed in the 70's or 80's.
Areas of concern:3/4 fenders do have dents, passenger door is tough to unlatch when opening/closing, under driver's side fender looks to be a small rust spot, a few other areas pictured. Leaks oil from the engine, not a huge spot but drips after a drive for sure. Car has all heating parts, back cables need to be reconnected, heat works if you manually pull the back ones, I have not used it other than a quick test.
Car also comes with (if buy it now - or we can discuss with offer) box of spare parts, original bumpers, spare radio, fender, wiper motor, brand new "GT" exhaust system, rear shocks, transmission fluid, and other items I am forgetting.
I have some original paperwork with the car, maintenance reports from 1970, some owner names, dealer books, old MA Title etc, repair manuals, parts catalogs, vintage ads ( i think)...
If you have further questions please do not hesitate to ask - we can even text or facetime if you want to see more of the car. No titles issued for older cars in CT - sold with bill of sale/registration (I have the old MA title and CT paperwork if needed) Make an offer or enjoy looking, thank you
