Car description

FOR SALE is a vintage 1964 VW Karman Ghia. Car was purchased years ago from a lady in Eugene Oregon by a meticulous dentist who restored this car in between building his own RV 4 seater airplane. The work was done for relaxation, and paid special attention to details -finishing the work with the new paint job in 2015. The dentist later retired and moved to Idaho, and subsequently sold the Ghia to my son, still living in Oregon. However, my son is moving and has lost his storage, so must downsize his collection.
The car was very clean and original when the dentist purchased it. Consequently, floorboards are original, and without rust. The body was stripped to bare metal, primed with epoxy primer, and painted and buffed. Although the motor was not rebuilt, has been tuned and runs very nicely. The odometer shows 36k miles, and is assumed to be 136k. It does emit a bit of blue smoke upon starting after setting for a while (pretty common) and drips some oil when sitting, but otherwise needs very little of anything to be done to it. Oh, the horn is not working, though? The whole car has been converted to 12 volt, including a new alternator and 12 volt battery.

The car runs and drives very well, and looks like a new car. It is a real head-turner! I have more pictures if you need to see more-but did not have access to a lift for better shots from underneath. The front spare tire well is just as clean and fresh as the rest of the car, without rust.
