1972 VW Westfailia Camper Bus

Very nice 72 Westy, not restored but more of a survivor, shows 112K miles on odometer and may be original mileage, bus has been repainted once and had the seats redone,new tent canvas and cot, has new weatherstrips, it is very rust free. Never been in and major accidents and still has all original body panels. It has original 1.7 liter engine that may have been rebuilt once. Recent work includes original dual Solex carbs rebuilt, upgraded to electric fuel pump, upgraded to a new electronic svda distributor, has had new pushrod tube seals and valves adjusted, recent oil change with Valvoline VR1 oil. New Bosch starter and new battery,It has had new brake booster, new brake hoses and e-brake cables, new shifter bushings, rebuilt drive axle, has new Hankook tires and KYB shocks, has upgrade to retractable seat belts and has JVC CD stereo with usb plug. We still have the original radio. It runs and drives great. It has very minimal rust, the battery tray is rusted and needs replacement, it has a few small rust bubbles under the windshield weatherstrip, also the floor in front has a small patch on it, it has not been in any major accidents, it still has all original body panels, there is some repaired damage in right rear behind tire where it looks like it might have blown a tire once, and the nose has had some minor repair where I believe it had a spare tire carrier. The paint is very nice but not show car quality. It needs some new curtains and a spare tire cover, also the sink is not hooked up but everything else is there and working good. This bus has never been hacked by anyone and is very much all like when it came from VW.I dont have long term history of this bus, only the last 5 years where its always garage kept, Buyer arranges his own shipping or drive it home.
