Car description |
---|
This is a 1983 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia. Perfect for camping and road trips, she's taken me all around the west coast.
The engine is running, with a manual transmission. It works well and has less than 100k miles on the rebuild.
There's minor surface rust in the usual places, but it's better than most of the Westie vans you'll see out there today.
The inside has been almost completely refurbished with new carpet, new back upholstery, sound deadening material, and new paneling.
There are a few small rust holes at the drivers side floor and wheel well area, which can be easily patched.
All of the gauges work as they should and so does the sink.
I've never tested the stove top or the fridge but I was told they worked when I bought it about a year ago.
The front seats look great with only a small crack in the passengers seat, but overall they're very comfortable and spin as they should.
The top pops up exactly how it should and the tent is in decent condition.
The top bunk folds down perfectly and so does the bottom.
The speakers that have been added to the front doors and back seat work well.
The undercarriage is rust free and the manual transmission works perfectly.
All doors open as they should and all of the original curtains are there.
The windows all work as they should, the front passenger triangle window is a little tight, tougher to open, but it does.
There is a small plastic piece missing from the back bumper on the left corner, but it's easily replaced.
All four original hubcaps are there and have never fallen off.
This is an extremely fun adventure vehicle and an almost complete project.
Not much has to be added to get it to be a perfect van.
Please do not hesitate to make an offer.
Will accept the best offer that comes in.
Thanks!
