Old Original Patina'd 1957 Volkswagen Oval Window Bug
Here we have for sale an old original patina 1957 Volkswagen VW Oval window bug. This was an old bug that I bought from the original owner some years ago. It had the original 36hp engine in it that seized, and it sat in a field for over 30 years and it patina'd the paint so wonderfully. The patina is just insane on the bug and that is why this thing is so cool. You can't fake this look. I wanted the exterior all patina'd and old looking and then I wanted the interior to be new, how it would of looked from the factory. I had the seats all professionally restored. I had the headliner professionally installed. I had new window rubber installed from Wolfsburg West. The rubber floor mats and carpet are all the high end German parts from Wolfsburg West. I replaced the old engine with a new running 36hp engine. The engine runs very well and it has an accessory four tip exhaust on it. This exhaust sounds amazing! The bug still has its original crash box, split case transaxle in it. I have an old rusty original roof rack that will go with the bug. I put brand new white wall bias ply tires on the car. It needs the brakes rebuilt, I put a new master cylinder, and brake lines on it already, it just needs new wheel cylinders and the brakes bled. The car runs great. It start right up and idles perfectly. The exhaust note is killer on this bug. It has some rust in the battery tray, rear heater channel and the front tire well but other then that it's a solid bug! Fix the wheel cylinders, bleed the brakes and you have yourself an awesome patina'd 57' Oval Window beetle. I have a clean and clear title for the bug. Please ask any and all questions that you may have. My phone number is 775-830-6760. I can store the bug for up to a month so that shipping arrangements are made and the bug is picked up. I accept cash, check, or money order as forms of payment. Thanks for looking!
