Car description |
---|
Bought the car as a project from New Mexico years ago with intention of making into a dedicated track car. As you see that didn't happen, instead I'm pretty much giving it away to someone who has the time and know how to complete it.
It took me over two years to find one that's completely rust free and all original sheet metal. This one does not have a square inch of rust any where including the under body. I remember paying almost $1000 just to ship it from New Mexico to Michigan.Over the years I've sold all the interior parts so that I could get cash for racing seats, coil overs and a few other parts that will come with the car. I also deleted the front and rear bumper as that can be see in the pictures. Hard core VW fanatics hate me for doing this.
The car comes with a running motor and transmission that's original. The motor was taken out cleaned up and resealed and it runs like new. There is also a second motor that I bought couple years ago out of a 96 Golf just for the block so that I can have a spare to tune it. As far the trans that has not been touched. I've replaced the fuel tank and fuel pump they are both brand new. All the wiring and dash is in tact and comes with the car as well the drive axles, all the suspension components, headlights, taillights and all the glass to make it road worthy. So again, the only thing that does NOT come with the car is the original front and rear seats, carpets, door panels, headliner, front and rear bumpers and a/c compressor.Feel free to to ask any questions or if you're local stop by and take a look. If you're out of state I might be able to provide you transport at a very low cost but before you buy please contact me with your location.Good luck and happy bidding!
