Car description |

This 1965 Volkswagen Caravelle Walkthrough Camper bus is in great condition and still drives wonderfully. The bus has gone through extensive body work, including rust removal and a new paint job. In comparison to many of the other surviving buses from this time period, this one has very little rust and the body is overall in great shape.
The original Caravelle camping kit is still in tact, yet some of the interior wood work is beginning to fray and crack. The curtains are all original. The camping interior design includes a working futon, a single seat, a small closet, a mini-fridge and sink. The bus will also come with the original blue and white striped tent extension which can be attached to the bus on the barn door side.
The engine also went through maintenance before we purchased the car in 2015 when it had about 74,000 miles. Since then, the mileage has only gone up to 79,231. It has had very few mechanical issues, and it almost always starts up easily and runs well.
The 65 Volkswagen Bus is a truly special car and this is a great opportunity to own one in good condition. Vintage camping gear and many new parts purchased off of Wolsburg West will be included with the bus.
