Car description |

1970 Bay Window Type 2 Bus, partially restored.
Odometer indicates 98751. Bus is solid black.
Nice running vehicle.
Photo will show two small areas of rust on the floor panel which are easily accessed. The larger of the two areas measures approx 3 x 5 inches. No body or structural member rust that I can find. I don't know the history of the rust area, but the mostly dry conditions of California's Central Valley must be keeping it in check.
Engine is 1776 cc installed new two years ago with less than 1000 miles on it. High performance cam. New 2BBL carb. Heavy flywheel. Instrument panel lamps recently replaced as well as fuel tank sending unit. Fuel gauge seems accurate.
Battery is new and kept on a trickle maintenance charge.
Tires are Mastercraft P185/75R14 A/S white walls and in good condition.
Headliner, carpet, seats, door cards are all new and nicely done by previous owner. There is a spare, but no jack tools. I keep extra fan belts in spare tire housing.
Rear photo shows no rear bumper. The garage that does my maintenance found a 1970 bumper and installed.
Bus has been garaged, driven only in dry weather for short runs, and was in the American Graffiti Night parade and car show in Modesto a couple years in a row. I am a photographer and have used the bus in four photoshoots. I'd like to keep it, but will be relocating to Hawaii where rust is a real issue thanks to salt spray.
