Car description

Lifted 1964 Volkswagen Bus Up for sale is a 1964 Mouse Grey walk through standard bus. The bus has fresh Yokohama Geolander MTs in 215/75 15s on brand new Wolfsburg West 15 inch bus wheels. The bus had a good amount of metal work done. New inner rockers, new short rocker, new cargo rocker, new long rocker, new uprights, outer 10 inches of the floors, new heat tube, new front crossmember, new rear crossmember, new top hat sections, four new outriggers, and four new jack points. The front was patched up by a previous owner in fiberglass. I haven’t gotten around to tackling that just yet. The bus has a 1600 in it that was said to be rebuilt. I have nothing to prove that but it is a solid running engine that has given me no trouble. The bus has a Westfalia kit out of a 1970 tin top bus. The bed, closet and jump-seat are installed in the bus. I do have the sink/fridge and head knocker shelf. It is a walk through bus but has front seats from a bay window. Brand new Wolfgang international safaris. 6 pop out windows. The bus was featured in issue 10 of Volksamerica. The bus suspension was done by Aaron at widefive.net below is the write up from him: “Bus has been lifted a total of 5". 4" in suspension and 1" in tires. Front beam is cut/i. This increases the track width by 1". Spindles are rebuilt and have the SACO off-road style bushing link pins. New tie rods, drag link, new center pin kit installed, new steering damper, shocks are a good used stock set. Rear frame horns were lowered 30mm and a Type I nosecone and hockey stick was swapped in to keep everything lined up. Heater box cables are still present, in case you want to add heater boxes in the future. Offset plates were made and trans modified to mount the spring plates at the axle (like a Barndoor) instead of behind the RGB housing. Small nut trans rebuilt with one piece axle boots, RGB bearings are all the sealed type. Solid, front, mid and rear mounts. New T/O bearing w/ super clips. New input shaft seal. New e-brake cables are present. New coil over style shocks as well as limit straps were added. Complete braking system replaced, new Dual Circuit M/C, all new hard and soft/flex lines, all wheel cylinders and shoes replaced.”
