Car description |

I purchased this VW several weeks ago because the owner was selling to a scrap yard, I couldn't let that happen, so here it is.1976 VW Beetle (bug). Hasn't run for several years. Last registered in 2008. The motor is free, will move by the belt pully.
The good: engine is the newer style. Body shows surface rust, but only has a couple small dents, driver side front fender, passenger rear fender. No rust through that I can find. Has a hand crank sun roof, still works. Doors are solid. Side and rear glass are OK, I bought 4 rims and VW caps, 2 are mounted on the front because the front wheels in the picture were rusted in the bead area and wouldn't hold air, all good now.
The bad: No title. Bill of sale only. Interior is really bad, but is all there. Car has been painted blue, which is really bad as you can see in the pictures. Surface rust in a lot of places, Looks like it might have been green. Spare tire isn't very good. Back wheels are hard to turn, doesn't roll very good.
I am listing this as a project, which it is. I hope someone with the correct skill set with VW's will think this is worth saving.Any questions, ask me, if I know the answer, you'll receive it. Thanks for looking.
