1972 VW Classic Super Beetle – Sweet Summer Fun
Fun, colorful and makes you laugh-out-loud.
Original equipment throughout.Factory color - Enzian Blue, 60 hp, 4-speed. Body, wheels, trim, bumpers and light lenses are all in very good condition. The entire interior is new; carpet, seat covers, door cards, headliner and seat belts. Runs and drives beautifully. No rust, paint is colorful and shiny with haziness in places. New Atlas Classic radial tires are top of the line. Glass all perfectly clear and unscratched.
Rare rear window defroster and dealer-equipped “Air Conditioned” model, compressor missing, all other A/C components are in place. Recent engine refresh with belt, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, points, oil change, gas filter, air hoses, battery. Car cover included. Never in an accident or smoked in and smells like German plastic and carpet. Mileage shows 53.8k, but I assume it has more. Number of previous owners is also unclear; paperwork shows VA, WV & NC ownership.
Car is fun to drive, everyone has a story to tell the driver and there are many hand waves from strangers. It drives like it did back in 1972, but it's not a modern car or a museum piece; instead it's 46 year-old technology, mechanical and safety systems. Easy to drive, inexpensive maintenance and in very good condition.
Early bidding will be considered and may end the auction early. Priced fairly at $8,000. Call Jim at 704-nine nine five-3928.
