Car description

1973 VW Thing Convertible NO RESERVE!!

Everyone else on Ebay selling a VW Thing has a reserve so you can't buy the car until the reserve is met. This listing is set withNO RESERVEso the highest bidder WINS THE CAR!

Be the only one in your city to own a rare classic like this. Everyone looks at this car everywhere I take it, hardly anyone even knows what it is. The VW THING was only imported to the United States for 2 years …1973 and 1974 and that’s it! In 1973 about 8000 were made that was 45 years ago. How many do you think are left? Well, Here’s one last remaining few.

I have had this car for a little over a year and the clear Title is in hand. All the gears work on the transmission and the Odometer is showing 44K miles. The brakes are excellent for a VW Thing thanks to all the new parts and the car riding on 4newtires. The engine is a 1600 dual port with dual relief that starts super easy and idles properly. Clutch grabs just like it should and is well adjusted.

This car starts, runs, drives and stops, with great response and pep for a VW. The entire Brake system was replaced. Seats are correct style (VW Thing only) new thing seat covers on all seats and new padding in front. Wheels are the hard to find, original Thing only 14 inch wide five smoothies. (Only The Thing wheels have the correct offset, Bus wheels don't work) The wheels have been sanded and painted factory silver and have brand new tires on them and brand new hubcaps. This car has very good floor boards and the original floors and battery tray are still intact.

This car will be a great daily driver. The horn, wipers, turn signals, hazards, brake lights, headlights lights all work. Oil pressure and alternator light both work. The glove boxlight even works properly.

Here is a list of the new parts.
