Car description |

I'm selling this car for my best friend - Car is located north of Detroit in MI. Title is in his name and ready to go ????????
This is one of the cleanest MK2 Golf GL's you'll find. It lived most of its life in California so there is ZERO rust.
Exterior:One fender was replaced by the prior owner due to a minor hit. You'd never know by looking and the rest of the paint is factory original. There are a few scratches as seen in the pics. New OE fender flares and side skirts are from a MK2 16V GTI. The wheels are one off's using centers from original Rabbit GTI snowflakes and BBS RS lips.
Interior: The seats are factory Recaro's from a MK2 GTI 16V - there are 2 blemishes on the back seat as seen in the pics. The carpet is also new. Door panels are smooth black from a GTI.
Drivetrain & Maintenance: In the early 2000's, the prior owner had a Corrado VR6 engine & trans swapped in by Futrell Autowerks in OR. The car runs and shifts great with no issues. Recent maintenance includes a new oil pan & gasket, H&R Cup kit and alignment, and new Yokahama tires. New catalytic converter and fresh gear oil were also recently done. There is no AC. I have a stack or receipts and the original swap invoice as well as pics.
Full Disclosure: The windshield has some visible scratches when driving at night. There are 2 scuffs on a rear tire from rubbing on the quarter panel - Spacers were quickly removed so no more rubbing. Heater box was cracked at some point but has been repaired and 100% functional. The heater fan switch sometimes sticks.
This car is only driven on nice days & is a blast. The pics will speak for themselves. You will not find another Golf like this, in this shape. I can help organize shipping and can even deliver if not too far from MI. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions.
