I am gutted to have to sell my baby. This the ultimate little bug. You will not find a nicer one with pop-out rear windows, a sunroof and all these new parts.
This 1970 Bug has just recently completed multi-year, multiple thousands of dollars restoration from the ground up. I am in a financial position where I am not able to keep, so she is for sale with no reserve.
The history of this car is one of the main reasons my family and I decided to restore this car. It was first sold in 1969, in Northern California. It never spent any time by the coast and has always been rust free without accidents. It has a clean title. More importantly, this car has lots of rare options including pop-out rear windows, fully operable sunroof, fold forward rear seats, fold back front seats, roof rack and more. The restoration on this car was vast and almost everything is new or restored. The Body was stripped and repainted using high quality paint, high quality primer and little to no body filler. Rubber seals were replaced, from door trim, to bonnet seals, and deck lids. The engine, an extremely desirable 1600, single port was rebuilt by a local shop and the trans was redone, with a new clutch. An EMPI Porsche short shifter was installed and it is absolutely primo. The interior was an done at no expense spared. The carpet is new, the seats have been restored with new foam and upholstery, the dash was replaced and most importantly new perforated white headliner. There are multiple options availble when restoring these cars and we used only the higher quality materials in the interior!
I have am a very big VW enthusiast and have had a few over the years. This 1970 is far and away the best I have ever driven or been around. It was great before the restoration and great after. From steering, braking, power and reliability, this Bug will do whatever you want to do. From daily driving, to showing, like I have, at car shows. The sale is as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. All inspections are to be done prior to bidding.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions,
Best of luck!
