Car description

1977 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, 1.6L 4-Cylinder, 4-spd

This is an amazing survivor Beetle convertible with less than 29k documented original miles. Well-loved and well-maintained by its two owners, it has always been kept under cover and serviced by German car specialists. This all-original time capsule has not been rebuilt or even repainted because it hasn't needed to be. It has minor wear you would expect for a five or ten year old car--not one made in the Seventies. Drive it anywhere as is.

Be sure to read the entire description below (touch on "Read More" or "Item Description" below) for complete details and dozens of additional pictures. I welcome you to ask questions and come see this cheerful Bug! The top lowers and raises with ease. The stylish leatherette interior shouts "Hop in and let's go!" The engine starts right up and runs really smooth. It is surprisingly peppy for a motor made over forty years ago. The car shifts, steers, and stops great. The suspension is really tight, and the handling is nimble. While there are some paint chips and surface rust in some places, the body is very solid, and the paint still looks great.

The level of documentation that comes with this vehicle is very rare. A record of everything from its original sale at a VW dealership in San Antonio to its most recent oil change is included. I feel privileged just having experienced such a classic for a couple hours. You will be overjoyed to own and drive her for years to come.

BUY WITH PEACE OF MIND!

I am the "COLLECTIBLE KING", and I am a proud Car Nut! I love cars and trucks--especially classic, high performance, and just plain cool cars! I help people sell their cars--I am not the owner of the great car or truck you see before you. I am your eyes and ears--I personally inspect and photograph each vehicle to provide you with an honest and unbiased assessment. Not only is it fun, but I want to find that special someone who is perfect for this very special car and will love and care for it like the current owner has. I want you to be so happy with the car you buy from me that you tell your friends and family about it for years so that maybe someday they will come to me for help finding their dream car, too.

TERMS OF SALE:

I love cars, but I hate "legalese", so I tried to keep this as simple as possible. When you bid, hit the "Buy It Now" button, or make me an offer, it means you have read and agreed to these terms:

PROMISE TO BUY:

You promise to buy this vehicle if your bid is the highest, if you hit the Buy-It-Now button, if you make me an offer and I accept it, or if I make a counter-offer and you accept it.

PAYMENT:

At least a $500 deposit must be received within 3 days, or immediately when using Buy-It-Now. The balance must be paid within 1 week. I accept cashier's check, money order, personal check, wire transfer, or cash. PayPal is also accepted for the deposit only.

SHIPPING & HANDLING:

I prefer that you arrange your own shipping or pick up the vehicle in person. If you need help with that, or want me to handle shipping for you, I am happy to help as long as you pay all shipping costs in advance.

RETURNS & REFUNDS:

The vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. All sales are final. Questions and test drives are encouraged in order to clear up any concerns about the vehicle, but the buyer is advised to do so before bidding or making an offer. Extensive effort is made to inspect the vehicle and report all flaws and features accurately and completely, however, there is always a possibility of errors in the listing or that something was missed during the inspection. The buyer is responsible for making sure the vehicle is what they want prior to bidding or making an offer.

In the event that there is a significant discrepancy between the actual condition of the vehicle and the condition stated in the listing, the seller will--AT THE SELLER'S OPTION--either offer a discount, remedy the problem, or cancel the sale and refund the deposit. Such discounts, remedies, or cancellations will not be offered after the vehicle has been shipped or had ownership transferred to the buyer.
