1973 VW Thing, red, most part original, 96,000 miles, 2 owners, always covered

1973 VW Thing for sale. Great condition. Only 2 owners ever. Had been garaged or covered for full life of vehicle. 96,000 miles. Currently title is clear and insured. DMV up to date. This is a great fun, weekend car and weird/interesting look. I have driven it consistently on the weekends for about 5 years. The previous owner drove it as a fun can and kept in garage. They did lots of work on it including tires and brakes, transmission work, and engine. I replaced all electric, re-did the exhaust, replaced emergency brake, and did recent tune-up. Drives great, no problems. Long term, you could improve the gear shifting so its smoother, you could replace the top (currently has no top and need to be covered) and fix or replace the frame for the top. The frame of the car is in great condition as is the body. There is very little rust and that which exists is not of the frame and has been treated. A really loved car. Thanks for looking.
