Up for sale is my 1978 VW Westfalia Bus. This bus came from the dry climates in Idaho. It had a couple of very small spots of rust that were cut out and repaired correctly. See pics.
I bought this bus hoping to join my family in their VW adventures, but my time and energy are becoming less. I don't have it in me to finish it. The guy that did the rust repair is very good, however, when he blended the paint it is a shade off from the original paint. The bus is all original paint except for the areas that were repaired. All of the panels are very straight as well with no dents.
It has a date correct 2.0L fuel-injected engine mated to the original automatic transmission. The auto trans has a new torque converter and new flex plate. It also comes with a new yellow pop top canvas and seals as well as a new windshield and windshield rubber. This bus runs but has a leak at the rear main seal. This will need to be addressed for it to run well. The bottom slide rail of the side door also needs some adjustment.
I am happy to show the bus to any interested parties. I would like anyone interested in doing inspections to have them done before you bid, prior to the auction ending. I can be reached about anytime from 8am - 9pm MST. My name is Heather. 307-752-6033
