1974 VW Thing - BARN FIND!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE AD BEFORE YOU ASK QUESTIONS!!!

You say you've always wanted a VW Thing? Here's your chance. Rare - here's a 1974 barn find. Yes it has issues. The floorpans are rusted through & will need to be replaced. It's not currently running (though I believe it could be with a good flushing, & a few tests before firing it up) but the engine turns freely & is all there. Shift lever moves freely through the pattern. Other than the floorpans & one rocker corner near the driver's side rear door, this Thing is NOT rusty, and there are virtually NO dents or dings! It's really in good shape! Windshield is clear & not cracked, windshield frame is rust free, bonnet & boot are both great. All seat frames are in tact, but will need to be re-upholstered. Just take a good look at the pictures, and if you're unsure about the value of this car, do a little googling. If it were to go for anywhere NEAR my opening bid, it's been stolen by the buyer, but I need it SOLD...

CLEAR title, but NO ignition keys. NO top. I will include a NEW ignition module & keys.

Restored properly, this is a $20,000+ vehicle. Restored to show condition, 30k+. Bringing it up to daily driver status should take no more than few thousand, and that's only because of the floorpans & replacement top.
