You are bidding on a 1966 VW Type 3 Squareback.The car was recently painted [Granada red], and new seals were installed throughout.Its one stunning Squareback that runs fantastic, 3 years ago the engine was replaced with a newly rebuilt Type 3 pancake 1600cc, with new dual carb set up, 12 Volt system conversion, 20,000 miles have been logged since installed, this is a perfect daily driver. The freeway flyer transmission was also newly installed, it shifts perfectly and cruises great on the highway, 75mph very comfortably. Just last summer we installed new carpet and front seat covers, groovy headliner, seat belts, came out really nice (See Photos). The car just had a recent brake job with new rotors, new Timbik bearings, new steering box, new sporty wheels with new tires on all 4's, nice sporty look to the car. LED lights, blinkers, windshield wipers, new fuse box set up, emergency flashers, heater controls, interior lights, pop-out windows, horn and so on. The undercarriage is in solid condition, no rust anywhere on this car. It's definitely a crowd favorite at any car show, you will have people asking to take photos next to the car. Again this is a reliable daily driver that you can enjoy for several years to come, it drives like new, its very peppy through traffic and great on the highway for those long weekend trips. Drive this Classic Squareback with confidence, it was built to drive anywhere in the U.S.A. Rear bench seat has 2 rips in it, but I really like that rustic look so we left it alone. Clock does not work. Older pictures showes roof rack just didn't install after paint.Any questions please ask
