NO RESERVE!
This is a nice V.W. Karmann Ghia!It was repainted in a subtle metallic base coat/clear coat yellow over 10 years ago, still has a very nice shine to it! original color is also yellow.Previous owner had it painted with windows and trim removed. New headliner, new window seals, tail light seals, seat covers, door panels etc. All the lenses are either very nice originals, or replacements from the original supplier (Hella brand), not cheap reproductions. Then the car sat in a garage, unfinished for all those years.Car has just recently been put back together and running/driving. New dash pad and horn ring installed, new wiper blades, all 4 new tires/valve stems, brake system and fuel system flushed, new carbureto, new battery.Body is in very good shape for its age! I have found no rust on this car, doors shut with a nice thud as a German car of this vintage should! Steering is good and tight, nose is very straight. Engine is good and strong. Looks to be rebuilt, could possibly be original to the car, it is at least correct for the year. It has a performance exhaust, slightly louder than stock, but not annoyingly so. This car is not your average, beat up old v.w. It has been well cared for over the years, and it shows, it is truly a pleasure to drive! Probably being off the road, in a garage for all those years saved it. No, it's not perfect, it has some blemishes in the paint from sitting in the garage, It is very presentable though! it is nearly 50 years old, so don't expect a new Toyota. You are bidding to own the car, not the right of first refusal. therefore, the $500 deposi, which is due at the end of the auction, is nonrefundable. Bid only what you can and will pay for the car.You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see the car and I will do my best to accommodate you. Texas title in hand. Good luck and happy bidding!
