Car description |

I'm selling this 1978 VW Champagne Edition II bus. It's an uncommon special edition bus made for the U.S. market with unique tow tone paint job with stripes and chrome bumpers.
This particular example would be a nice driver or project car. I picked it up last summer when a "mechanic" tried to replace the ignition switch and couldn't put the steering column ad fuse box back together. I sorted that out, drove it around a little and parked it in the garage. I had plans for it but another bus came my way so it's got to go.
I've only put a few miles on it but it runs, drives and stops pretty well for an old bus. The fuel injection has been replaced with a two barrel carb but it appears to be stock otherwise. It has a nice set of Hankook tires in the proper size and load rating for a Bus.
It has been repainted in a non original color scheme and it looks to have been a cheap job/ the paint is peeling on the roof. It has some dents and rust but nothing out of the norm for an un restored bus. The worst of it is the battery area and the front steps. The floors and chassis are solid though.
The front seats have been reupholstered in a incorrect color but the rest of the interior is original. It still has the correct color spare tire cover. The clock keep time. The radio has been replaced with a modern Pioneer CD/MP3 player with auxiliary inputs.
I try to honest and accurate when I describe cars I sell. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am happy so sell to overseas buyers and I will assist with local transport. for your interest.
