Description
1966 VW Convertible
Fair condition but needs some work. Good base car to fix a few things and drive or totally restore.
Original color of the car was Ruby Red.
Body
- Bottom of each heater channels have rust holes. Approx 18" section on rear portion-each side. You can weld/repair the channels and do not need to replace. See picture
- Floor pans have some surface rust on the bottom. A section of the pan on the drivers side was repaired with a aftermarket patch panel by previous owner
- Dent underneath the front apron- see picture
- Dent on left rear fender- see picture
- Small bubble starting on drivers side body panel near corner of lower door.
- Remainder of the car is solid. There is no rust or patching on the remainder of the car
- Solid bumper brackets
Top and Interior
- Top in good shape- Wooden bow needs replaced- I have the part
- Seats and headliner - no tears
- Door panels need replaced
- Carpet- fair- no holes or wear needs cleaned
- Glass in good condition
Engine/brakes
- 1600 cc - not original to car 70-72 motor
- 6 volt-New battery
- Runs and shifts well
- Brakes are good. Disc brakes on front
- Exhaust/Muffler is good.
MISC:
- 4 new Coker wide whitewall tires -$640.00 cost
- No hubcaps
