This custom-built 1963 VW Beetle uses a VW engine, suspension, and partial floor pans. The car shows, a believed accurate, 1148 miles since built. It is meant to emulate a pre-war Bugatti. Simple spun aluminum wheels are fitted. The interior is basic but in very great shape, and features a vinyl bench with seat belts and carpets. Instrumentation is quite complete, with a speedometer, tach, fuel gauge, oil temperature and pressure, and volt gauge. The forward part of the car is a surprisingly large cargo area accessible under the center-hinged bonnet. The engine is a 1675cc VW unit housed under the rear clamshell, and retains its original 6 volt electrical system and a single carburetor. Panels exhibit uniform gaps, straight lines and no noticeable rust is present. Clean Florida Title, it is titled as a 1963 VW Beetle.
