Car description

1979 Volkswagen BusI WOULD DRIVE THIS BUS CROSS COUNTRY, SHE IS READY FOR THE ROAD, PERSONALLY BEEN DRIVING IT FOR THE LAST MONTH.
-Bought this for my wife, got her painted up how she wanted, now funds say otherwise to keeping it unfortuneately
2000cc Fuel Injected-Motor starts great, runs good and smooth
4 Spd Manual Trans-Clutch assembly has maybe 2000 miles on it, shifts great, everything works as it should.
**The paint is a month old, under the paint was a nice straight body, that had very very little rust, left rear wheel well had a 3" spot, left rocker has about a 5" spot. new metal was welded in place. the steps going into the bus were rusted, like it seems everyone is, so they were welded in.- as far as body filler, it is skimmed in a few areas to straighten it up, but nothing filled, not metal was beat around or pulled and filled.
I would not hesitate to drive this thing across country, ive took it on some 60 miles trips with 0 issues. She cruises at 60 with ease
All lights work, including back up lights, wipers work, horn works, windows work. left slider glass has a piece of plexi glass.
I am fairly new to these so bare with me, as far as the vents and heat and everything, ive never really used it and dont really know how to, i know when messing with the stuff by the steering wheel, itll blow out of the vents.
This is what i do knowIt has hydraulic lifters, and if sitting a few days, one will tick a little bit till warmed up, after warm, shes quiet and smooth.
-Interior has not been touched, of course all door jams and everything were painted, but other than that, its pretty well the way it was when i bought it. missing the center seat, passenger seat has a decent rip in bottom cushion. Door panels are there, just never re installed after paint with plans to recover, or replace, theyre solid, but some material is peeling off. THE HARD PART IS DONE, NOW TAILOR THE INTERIOR TO HOW YOU WANT IT! Or drive her the way she is and get tons of waives compliments and PEACE SIGNS.
If you have any questions, please call me on my cell phone and i will try to answer to the best of my knowledge, or you can walk me thru some things, send videos, etc Willy @ 712 304 2812
Im located in South West Iowa, the bus is not iowa originated.
