MK2 GOLF GTI 16V VR6 **CONVERSION**

here we have a 1991 golf mk2 genuine 16v gti with a vr6 conversion

this car was found In a garage where it had been parked since 2005/2006 and had the16v engine removed and stripped by previous owner, I purchased the car with the intention of restoring the car and 16v running gear but due to the time the parts had spent disassembled by previous owner I decided best option for myself was to update the car and add more power while keeping in period with the mk2 golf

the car its self is a genuine big bumper 90 spec ce2 gti in white with factory fitted electric windows and central locking and power steering

the conversion consists off 98k obd1 coil pack vr6 engine and gearboxremoved from a mk3 golf the chain where done by previous owner around 2k before removal the car also benefits from running the mk3 k frame corrado vr6 pedal box front cross member both the twin fans and radiator and gear selector and power steering pipes and washer bottleits also the mk2 fuel tank has been replaced with the correct vr6 tank pump and lines from mk3 golf and g60 280mm discs and callipers and carriers

the car has stacks of history from new original cassete player and receipts for parts replaced during the conversion

the car is running mk3 clocks from vr6 reading 110874 the car its self has covered 112 thousand

the car its self is 27 years old so as you would expect is not brand new it could benefit froma few patches of paint andrear bumper repaired as its currently fitted with a tow bar and the driver seat base needs a bolster repair seat cloth included just never got round to fitting fabric

im only selling because im about to finish the restoration on my escort rs turbo series 2

if I was to describe this car I would call it a survivor car it is what it is ideal for driving if I was to keep car it id probably put it on coil overs fit a stainless exhaust and bigger wheels and drive round enjoying the vr6 howl in the summer but I could do with space in garage
