Description

Super cool and really fast VW Beetle. Tons of body mods including chopped top, widened fenders, fabricated running boards, 1957 oval window, all windows except oval is lexan and the door glass straps up and down, Body was stripped for fabrication then taken for an acid wash resulting in total surface rust, Motor is a 2332 stroker with Empi block and heads, Garret Turbo with waste gate set at 10 psi blowing thru a weber downdraft carb, electronic ign, motor made 301 HP on the dyno. Oil system is 7 quarts with external oil tank and remote filter setup, all oil lines are steel braided with AN fittings, Exhaust is 3" with a 1 3/4" tube inside for correct back pressure. Stock capacity fuel tank, modifiedwith 3/8 outlet to carb and a 5/16 return line to tank, high volume electric pump with bypass regulator, Must run Turbo Blue fuel or better. 4 corner independentair ride and drop spindles, front beam narrowed 4", All new tie rod ends and extended motion ball joints. drum brakes, stock 4 speed with performance clutch, (could really use a bus trans) Wheels are 1934 Ford wires with rears widened to 8". motorcycle front tires 130/85/16 and rears are 245/50/16. I have broken the center out of both rear wheels and now they are "beefed up" to take the torque. All lights work as do the wipers. Speedo does not work and the fuel gauge works above 1/2 tank. Floor pans were patched when body mods were done. Seats are Corvair. Vintage trunk has a Grand General train horn inside!!! This thing handles like a go cart and is a blast to drive.
