Ok, so the story, everyone wants the story :) Me and my girl at the time bought this sweet little thing back in 05. We mostly gutted and rebuilt the interior, saving as much of the original parts as possible (like the avocado green rear bench seat, 3rd seat, n other lovelies). We did a few modern upgrades, like adding led interior lights (as an addition to, not replacement of originals, their still there), black light, modern radio, nice speakers, amplified antennas, electric sink, dual battery system, power inverter (we removed the inverter itself when we moved onto a sailboat, but its still wired up for one with reallllly heavy gauge wiring), minifridge (also removed, but wired for still), and we used to have a pc with flipdown screen in there set up with SNES emulator and to sell shit on ebay while on the road. We added toooons of goodies to this already rare find. At the time the canvas for the pop top and awning were new, and still in like new condition today. We drove it about for about a year or two, then a part on the front broke and we parked it. The part is like this mount thing that holds a linkage from a steering arm to other rods that push/pull the tires left or right to turn. When it broke, we temporarily fixed it with some shitty welds and big hose clamps to drive it home and get it in the garage. That was in 07 or 08 I think. It sat in the garage till 2015 when I moved to a different house. And trailered it here. Since then its been outside. Interior is still retro fabulous, in great shape, exterior needs a good cleaning, and paintjob. Its got some rust, but mostly its pretty damn good. If you look at the pics, and see the rocker panel for the side door youll see how great it still is. Underneath pics you'll be able to see some of the heavier rust spots, and that its really pretty damn decent for a 46 year old beauty. We've wanted to keep it and someday repaint the exterior, but times are rough atm, and could really use the money... :( not an easy decision by far, love this bus way to much...
