1973 Volkswagen VW Thing Baja

This was a fun little driver we used to pull behind our motorhome on vacations until an uninsured motorist rear ended it. It is not a salvage title, it is clear, current and still insured. I had a local body shop weld a used clip on the rear and they pulled out and repaired the front for me. I intended to finish the bodywork (minor easy stuff ) and get it repainted but due to an injury its time to let it go. Its a very nice solid car, I have owned and loved it for about 10 years. I have done tons of upgrades over the years. Disk Brakes, update master cylinder, 12volt alternator, new clutch, new german thing CV's and axles. new headlights and tail lights (I kept the originals), new aluminum wheels and BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, rear torsions were turned up one spline and the front beam had an adjuster installed to give it a perfect stance, upgraded high clearance front and rear fenders, I had a thing shop replace all under hood fuel hoses and vents and with a new fuel pump the heater is fully operational, its always a fun conversation piece in campgrounds, very comfortable Momo steering wheel with VDO tach and gauges, The motor and trans are completely stock (1600 dual port stock carb and very cool original thing air cleaner). Motor and trans are out of the car for rear clip repair and the engine compartment is red so it will need to be painted or you could do a color change its up to you, however it is an original tan car.
