Listing my Vanagon for sale. I've had her about 3 years and while she's a blast, I just don't have any time for it. These things need to be driven to be appreciated. I just had her in the shop and had new brake and clutch masters installed along with a new thermostat. Also put in new wheel cylinders at both rears along with brake pads. All systems bled. Drives tight now. I'm not aware of any other needs to send her down the road.
This is a base model, not a camper. My van original came from Hillsboro, Oregon and belong to a vet. Dealer in Carolina brought it east from there and I got it from him. Minimal rust. Paint and tires are good as is the interior. I had the middle seat added. Note this is more of a Euro spec commercial van. It is not a pass thru, but has a bulkhead between from seats and back of van. Can send pics upon request. Had the windows tinted when I got it. Just ordered a new (and correct) oil filter for her and will change oil and filter before the new owner takes it away.
Please email me with questions. I had some concerns in past about her getting a little hot at idle. The new thermostat and expansion tank cap seem to have solved it. Only other thing I could think would be radiator, but I don't believe it's necessary right now.
Radio works great and even has the cupholder. But, there is no interior panel on the sliding door. Just never got around to replacing it. You can get the cutout for about $100 anywhere and cover however you want.
This thing is sold AS-IS, where is with no warranties expressed or implied. I can meet within 25 miles of Ashburn, Virginia. As I'm in the business, if you need help arranging out of state transport, I can assist for pass thru cost. $1,000 deposit due within 5 days of auction close. Balance due in person on pickup. Cash or certified funds only. No trades.
Happy Bidding!
