LOWERED STARTING PRICE WITH NO RESERVE. This is a well cared and maintained vintage 1967 Volkswagen, this car is the first 12 volt car and the last year for the nice chrome bumpers. This car was driven around the Los Angeles and Pasadena Ca all of its life. ORIGINAL FRONT and BACK BLACK CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES. The previous owner rebuilt the motor 1600 dual port and the original transmission about 2 years ago., the work was done at Jim's VW repair in Monterey Park Ca, and that is how I got the car about a year ago. Then I completely took the car apart including removing the motor transmission and frontend, Welding in a new pan section for the battery and coating the pan with POR-15, then I put it all back together with all new rubber, proper original engine bay sound deadining, and factory performance header/muffler exhaust system [see picture of factory tag removed before firing], clutch, cables powder coated engine tins and heater boxes, proper heater tubes, air cleaner draft tubes, decklid and bonnet seals, trunk and wiring harness cardboard, new door window felts, guides, scrappers, front, rear and quarter window rubber using original window chrome [reinstalled], all rear spring plate bushings replace, frontend has OLDSPEED 2'' drop spindles with all new shocks and bearings this car rides solid, COMPLETELY NEW TMI INTERIOR and a retro am/fm with phone jack to plug into Pandora Radio and 2 6'' Kenwood speakers which sounds excellent, ALL NEW RUBBER PARTS came from Wolfsburg West running board with stainless chrome for 1967 as well.... this car is so quite going down the highway that you can even have a conversation with your passengers if you wish at 70 mph... imagine that!!, then I added a few extras that I like, period correct bumper strengtheners and deluxe chrome accessories front and rear, Note this car is NOT A SHOW CAR, it still has its bumps, scratches, and dings from its entire life. I really did not want to repaint it again because it was such a great patina car to start with its pitted chrome, some faded pain, some paint repairs. Although this car has had everything done to it to be a restored car except painting the car and separating it from its original pan. Compared to some of the ''so called restored'' and very poorly assembled vintage volkswagens out there with cut dashes for huge radios or Cal Look rubber on so called original cars this ones LOWER reserve is extremely reasonable and a VERY SOLID ROAD CAR.
