Description
This New Mexico native 63 beetle was restored about 10 years ago. The inside and out was repainted in the current color which is still very nice. There are a few flaws from general use but no dents or evidence of crash damage. All window gasket rubber has been replaced and the chrome is very nice but not show quality. I have redone the interior carpets and mats. Headliner is good. The seats and doors are a caramel brown and the carpet are oatmeal with black mats the dash has been changed to accept VDO oil temperature, fuel gauge and oil pressure. The original speedo has a new cable. A 6 to 12 volt conversion has been done and all lights are working. There is an aftermarket sony cd player which has a USB hookup. Two 3 way speakers on the rear package tray. I have carpeted the trunk and there is a new toolkit, jack and chrome rim spare. The engine is stock (38 hp) and there is no oil/smoke at start up. It does drip oil below as all old bugs do. The brakes are recently redone and the front spindles have a 2 inch drop to lower the front. I also have installed new rear adjustable spring assist shock absorbers. It lives in a garage w/ ac and heat . This is not a show queen bug but a very nice driver that would cost a great deal more to reproduce. More photos are coming.
