Description
I am sellingmy 1963 Baja Beetle. I bought it off of an eBay seller in California a few years back, flew out and drove it back to Texas. I thinkitwas built to run a series of baja style races in SoCal and the guy took it as a trade.Bad news/good news:
Bad:-It has developed a leak on the back of the engine
-It has a new clutch/pressure plate, but it acts like it is slipping (probably from an oily clutch plate)
-New carb, but need different jets (runs rich)
-Fiberglass hood is needing patching
-It's a 54 year old car/race car/toy, there is wear on it (rattles etc.)
Good:
1915 cc engine
Bus transaxle (It will do 70+ on the highway easily)
Rear crossed drilled disc brakes
Front and rear custom aluminum skid plates
Short shift kit
Racing seats front and rear
Full Custom 6 point roll cage
Dual Fox shocks in rear
Fox shocks in front
External oil cooler
Tires are at 80% left
GM style fuse block
10gal fuel tank
I don't have time to tinker with it or enjoy it. It sounds mad and runs hard. My loss is your gain.
