Reserve Auction :
1962 Volkswagen Beetle with original sliding ragtop (not a graft) roo, pop out quarter window, and a custom safari style windshield,
This has been my work in progress for a few years now , super fun cruiser, and a real head turner.Runs and drives wel, fully adjustable suspension, (not air ride) adjustable from about an inch and a half off the ground to 6 inches, rides smooth either way ( better when raised ) I run it at a happy medium ( around half way ) as pictured.... Fully adjustable suspension using :6 inch narrow bea, with adjuster, and drop spindlesAtomwerk complete fully adjustable racing (spring) plates.
4 wheel disc brakes by Airkewld:Bad series 4 wheel disc brake kit including cross drilled rotor, Wilwood calipers, all new stainless brake lines, new master cylinder, new wheel bearings, front and rear Ect. Ect.
The engine is a 1914cc with a set of the original Spanish weber 40 mm carburetor, low miles, runs out wel, little to no leaks ( it is a VW ) Custom exhaust with headers ( no heater boxes ) and a magnaflow muffler. car has an alternator and has been updated to a 12volt syste, Freshend up 68' Transaxle (4 speed) shifts smooth and has no leaks with new seals and bearing, when installed (about 2000 miles ago)
This car is originally out of south Tennessee I've used it only during the (east coast) cruising season, basically spring to fall, it is garage kept, hasn't seen snow, it has not been restore, it is a super solid bodie, unrestored 62' rare original ragtop car . I say original ragtop car as in it has a sliding ragto, it has not been cut u, or the roof been grafted on from another car, ( 62' original ragtops are very rare due to the Herbie Craze) .The body and floors are solid, no ro, a puck here and there, but no dent, paint is good, it has no hea, newer tire, it has pop out quarter window, and a safari windshiel, ( I retro fitted myself ) it runs and shifts smooth, and stops like whoa "not like any other beetle" the only thing it needs is a headline, everything else is don, I enjoy cruising it all season long and then some .
I know I missed a ton of thing, but it is what it i, you know : Too much to list,, I will do my best with any questions...
